Chomolhari Trek

Two remaining Himalayan Kingdoms, one Hindu, the other Buddhist share the natural beauty and age old cultures.  We have combined two popular trips to give you the true Himalayan experience, starting from Kathmandu, into one unique adventure.

Commencing your trip with very interesting visit to World Heritage sites.  Durbar Square with its palaces and Newari architectures are the ancient part of this fascinating city. Explore old bazaars and to the holy Buddhist temple Swayambhunath-the famous "monkey temple".

Flying from Kathmandu to Paro will take you to another time, the land of Peaceful Dragon.  Bhutan classic trekking route cuts through dense, lush forests and ascends into the lofty realm above tree line, home of yak herders.  Our route passes through a national park area, where we keep our eyes peeled for blue sheep, musk deer, snow leopard, black bear, and Bhutan's national animal, the takin.  The course of the trek will cover some prominent places rich in culture and history between Paro, Thimpu and Punakha Valley. One of the most magnificient peaks in the eastern Himalaya, Mt.Chomolhari (7300m) is visible and clear through out the trail.
